To a Coal Fired Power Station

As part of his residency at The Northern Poetry Library, John was commissioned to write a new poem responding to the library’s collection. The result is ‘To a Coal Fired Power Station’, which can be read and listened to here.

‘To a Coal-fired Power Station’ takes inspiration from the industrial heritage of the North East. The accompanying letterpress print is the response of artist Janet E Davies, who writes about the process of working with the poem here.
