Waves and Bones

John has contributed a new poem, ‘Preservation in Situ’, to Waves and Bones, a poetry project sponsored by the Northumberland Coast Area of Natural Beauty Partnership. With the poets Linda Anderson, Christy Ducker, Linda France, Cynthia Fuller, Kris Johnson, Peter Hebden, Lisa Matthews, Theresa Muñoz and David Spittle, John visited sites on the Northumbrian Coast to be inspired by relics and stories of pilgrimage. The artist, Phyllis Christopher, has created a film that includes readings of the poems. The film as well as an anthology featuring the poems was launched at the 2018 Newcastle Poetry Festival
